Unofficially, I guess you could say that my love for bugs and insects began with the caterpillar tree in my elementary school playground. Amongst the joy-filled screams and chaos of tiny human bodies, you could usually find me crouched next to this tree playing with the tiny hulk color-squemed squirmy creatures. 13 years have passed, and as a junior in college, I  have officially graduated to hanging out with ants, wasps, beetles, and millipedes. Although I have a vast appreciation for all organisms including the dung beetle, it seems that my love for these underrated "creepy" crawlers have stuck with me. With that said, I hope to continue to engage in scientific research with these little fellows, and appeal to the childhood curiosities that I have carried with me throughout the years.

In my free time (aka when I'm not stressing about life) you can  find me at a nearby coffee shop with a quality book and cold brew in hand, listening to some tunes by Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Spark Alaska, or some of the older Coldplay tunes. You may also find me in my room, binging the life out of Bones and Planet Earth. I hail from the beautiful island of Guam, so you can bet that on those sunny days when I am visiting home, you'll peep me scuba diving with my brother or hiking/road-tripping with my friendos.
